Privacy Policy
Effective October 7, 2026
Lonview does not collect, transmit to us, sell or share your personal data. There is no Lonview account, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking, and the app contains no third-party analytics or advertising software.
What stays on your device
- Connection details you enter (names, addresses, ports, usernames, settings) are stored in a file on your device.
- Passwords and SSH private keys are stored in your device Keychain and are not included in exports.
- Trusted SSH server keys, saved terminal snippets and preferences are stored on your device.
Where your data goes
Lonview connects only to the computers and servers you configure, directly or through an SSH server you choose. What you type and see travels between your device and that server. Classic VNC does not encrypt the screen, so use SSH, TLS or a VPN on untrusted networks. We never receive this traffic.
- Clipboard: text moves between your device and the remote computer only when you choose to paste, copy or send it.
- Local network: with your permission, Lonview discovers VNC computers on your network (Bonjour) and can scan address ranges you enter.
- Face ID and Touch ID: an optional app lock uses the system authentication. Lonview never receives biometric data.
- Portal browser: if you enter a Secomea portal address, it opens in an in-app browser. That website has its own privacy policy.
- Exports: if you export destinations, the file contains addresses and usernames and is not encrypted. You decide where it is saved or shared.
Children
Lonview is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.
